Adventures in Eco-Linux - Part 02 - Proxmox

The next step, now that authentication is up and running, is to figure out what my replacement for my hypervisor server. I started using HyperV because it came free* with Windows, and it was fairly simple to setup, at least when using the GUI. Since I'm moving to a linux ecosystem at home, I can't use HyperV anymore.

A quick search brings up many alternative softwares (XenServer, Vmware, etc), I settled on Proxmox for a couple of reasons. First you can run it without a license, which is super helpful for me. Second, it seems to be a common use case, so even if documentation is lacking, the community has already asked how to do stuff on several different forums. Thus I can probably find an answer for anything that I'm looking to do. Third, I have a friend that is already running Proxmox, so I can lean on them if I run into trouble.
